I’ve done live figure drawing for 15+ years with soft chalk pastels and now I’m ready for something different. I am now exploring children’s illustration, so not only have I changed my subject matter, but my medium and mode of drawing as well as style. I’ve begun sketching and coloring children and youth from magazines. I found that I am especially interested in the clothing with it’s varied textures and patterns. My style is emerging as expressionistic realism. My illustrations are life like, but embody a sense of emotion and convey a feeling to the viewer.
