Even though 2020 was a rough year, I am excited to say that I finished illustrating my first children’s book that spring! Itchy Isabella took over two years to illustrate from start to finish, including developing 16 human characters plus a cat and dog. Itchy Isabella is about a biracial young girl with eczema who goes to the dermatologist. All of her friends and family also have skin conditions, and it shows examples of those in a cute and somewhat humorous way. It is written by a local dermatologist, Dr. Sims as a fun way to tell kids about skin conditions.
